Since 2014, Mr. Guram (Mirian) Odisharia has served as Advisor to the Prime-Minister of Georgia. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Odisharia was the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia. In 2005, Mr. Odisharia was the Coordinator and a Georgian representative of the Caucasian Forum, a union of the Caucasian non-governmental organizations.

Between 2002 and 2003, Mr. Odisharia was the Chairperson of the Board of the project called the “Restoration of Confidence between the Georgian and the Abkhazian Societies through the Caucasian Forum” funded by “International Alert,” a British international organization. Mr. Odisharia participated in numerous Georgian-Abkhazian and Caucasian meetings in the framework of public diplomacy. He is the author of numerous novels, stories, as well as non-fiction books and articles.

In 1975, Mr. Odisharia graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology at the Sokhumi University.

Since 1989 Mr. Lortkipanidze has been a member of the Georgian Green Movement. In 1992-1998 he has worked as an inspector at the Human Resources Department of the Information Intelligence Service of Georgia, Senior Inspector at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the autonomous republic of Abkhazia.

In 1999 he worked as the Chairperson of the Saburtalo district organization of the Union of Citizens of Georgia. Since 2006 he has been the founder and the Political Council Chairperson of the Way of Georgia political party.

In 2008 Mr. Lortkipanidze has been elected as a Member of Parliament (United Opposition).

Mr. Vladimir Shkolnikov is the Senior Human Rights Adviser to Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in the South Caucasus. In 2008-2011, Mr. Shkolnikov held a number of senior positions in the civil society sector. From 2004 to 2008, he served as the Head of Democratization Department at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. Between 1995 and 2004, Mr. Shkolnikov was an Adviser on migration and freedom of movement at the same organization. In 1989-1995, he was a Resident Research Consultant at RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California (CA), USA.

In 1987, Mr. Shkolnikov received a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the California State University, Sacramento, CA, and obtained a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, CA. In 1991, Mr. Shkolnikov earned his second Master’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from RAND Graduate School of Policy Studies in Santa Monica, CA. In 1995, Mr. Shkolnikov obtained his Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from the same institution.
