Inauguration of the newly elected President

On 17 November 2013 the inauguration of the newly elected President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili took place. The Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan was invited to take part in the ceremony.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness, Ilia II, the leading representatives of the executive, legislative and judicial powers of Georgia, guests and official delegations from different countries, as well as representatives of different communities and religious organizations of Georgia attended the official inauguration ceremony of the President, in the courtyard of parliament building located on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.

Official delegation from the Republic of Armenia included Foreign Minister Edward Nalbanyan, and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsesyan, accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Hovhannes Manoukian.

The Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan participated in the ceremony, accompanied by Levon Isakhanyan, the Head of the Department of the Relationship with the State at the Diocese.

Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbanyan, and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsesyan, accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Hovhannes Manoukian and diplomats of RA Embassy to Georgia Vahagn Afyan and Artak Kalachyan.
